About SlipStream
The SlipStream Social TV platform is a product of The Do Lab, an innovation incubator formed by some of the most experienced players in the broadcast and social media industries. SlipStream was winner of the 2008 BBC Innovation Labs competition for innovative media technologies. It was then used to develop a number of services for the BBC, including PoGo (Programmes to Go) a multi-device programme scheduler and viewer and the BBC Social Media Guide, which integrates social recommendations with programme scheduling, iPlayer and broadcast metadata. These have briefly been covered on the BBC Blog and at the Guardian.
The parallel commercial development of SlipStream has focused on the development of partnerships with broadcasters, network operators and infrastructure providers to provide a suite of services that fully integrate with our partners’ architectures and existing services.
Slipstream is a new product. However, it is driven by the combined seventy years industry experience of its founders. They are Richard Harris, Jonathan Marshall, Jon Jardine. They are joined by Martin Harris as COO, bringing his experience of global product development and marketing to SlipStream.
